Look Behind the Mask

Confronting the silent crisis in men's mental health.

75% of suicides in Canada are men

Too many men suffer in silence behind a mask of being 'fine'. Look Behind the Mask challenges the stigma that keeps men from asking for help — because 100% of suicides are preventable.

The crisis we don't talk about

Men die by suicide at several times the rate of women, and the risk climbs sharply during separation and divorce. Yet men are far less likely to seek mental-health support. The barriers are cultural as much as clinical: shame, isolation, and a message that men should just cope.

What we're doing about it

Through peer-support groups, men-centred counselling and public awareness, we create spaces where men can drop the mask. Our campaign equips families, employers and communities to recognise the signs and start the conversation that saves lives.

How you can help

Share the message, learn the warning signs, and support the programs that keep men connected. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 any time.
