Employment Discrimination – Against Men?!

Location Announced:

SIDNEY SMITH HALL, ROOM 1083

**100 ST. GEORGE STREET, U OF TORONTO

**

Are “women-only” or “female preferred” jobs acceptable? How about in fields dominated by women? How do we balance our desire to build gender equality with our protection for individual rights and civil liberties?

Join us for a talk featuring human rights lawyer Jean-Alexandre De Bousquet, who has won cases before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal for discrimination against men in employment.

Check it out: A restaurant violated a male applicant’s human rights when he posted a job seeking “female only” servers, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal ruled

De Bousquet has also fought discrimination against gay and racial minority clients, worked for the Canada Research Chair on Native Peoples and Legal Diversity as well as the Attorney General of Ontario.
